Another Day, Another Reboot


So after working on AHS: The Gunslinger (Another Game Of Mine) I realized I'm going nowhere yet in that game so I put it on pause and decided to work on my original game, AHS: Guardians Soul, at least a little bit or probably for good since I think I'll need to revamp the whole system in AHS: The Gunslinger, since so many bugs keep popping out of sorts and i still don't have any great motivations.

So i added and revamped systems inside this game, one is the removal of mana charging since it's a lot of work for the player for a little reward of ranged attacks for a few seconds, so instead i added a charged slash which will send a sword beam similar to one of my favorite games, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. this which requires a little charging for a heavy ranged attack that continues until it's off screen or hits a wall, another one is the graphical changes, realizing i can't handle the big tile sprites (yet....) i switched to a 16 by 16 sprite and an 8 by 8 tiled sprite which is from when i tried working on AHS: Guardian Soul GB again on GB Studio (sad news ,it didn't work since there's a lot of sprites for Pride and it can't render them all in a scene so i might need to find some work around but I'll work on that probably after i finish this one), so there we have a new look for the game and finally I added recoil systems both for the player and the dummy.

So that's all for this devlog, hopefully I can work more in this game, since college gets rough at times and I'm on a break currently, see ya
